Why Wrong Offers Affect Our Business
(& How To Create A Coherent Offer Instead)
When I got started in online business, I didn't understand how to create great offers.
I just knew that I wanted to run a marketing agency to make $10k.
And I promised - to all the creators I was sending DMs to - that I would get them more clients.
Simple, right?
Well, this frame of mind cost me 3 years of not getting any results.
I jumped from one business model to the other one.
And failed several times.
But in these 3 years of grind, I realized something:
The reason why I wasn't getting results, wasn't because of the business model.
It was because I didn't understand great offers.
Trying to sell an advanced offer that would take me from $0 to $10k was the thing holding me back.
I was channeling all my efforts, energy, and good habits into the wrong thing.
Not because the agency model is bad, but because it wasn't coherent with who I was at the time.
I was just a beginner.
Why would someone buy an expensive service from a beginner?
As a beginner, I should've focused on creating a coherent offer that would help me make my first $100 instead.
In fact, that's what I did after these 3 years of grind.
And I was able to make my first $1k online and then $10k by the end of 2024:
With my editing service
With my first info product
With a backend 1:1 offer
All organically.
And there is a way - even as a beginner - to create yourself a coherent offer.
I know how important this can be for coaches, freelancers, and creators who are struggling to monetize their skills or knowledge online.
So I broke this system down into actionable steps that anyone can take to start attracting opportunities to their work.
The Importance Of Having The Right Offer
The way we invest our time and energy is vital.
If we don't learn how to channel our efforts the right way, we can quickly get stuck in a cycle of no results.
That's one of the reasons why I failed several times.
I couldn't understand why others were making money while I was stuck.
But the answer was in front of me all the time.
I realized that I needed to change my approach to business as a whole.
It's not about tricks or tactics.
In fact, it's how the whole Universe works with everything.
To attract, we must be grateful for the things we already have:
Accept our situation
Be thankful for the resources we have
Use those resources to improve
We must use our efforts smartly, that's how we attract the opportunities we deserve.
Why are we trying to run if we haven't walked first?
By now, I could already be chilling at the beach with a mojito if I had understood how to channel my efforts the right way.
The reason why we want to have the right offer is because that would help us speed up our results.
Let's see how to do it with clear steps.
5 StepsHow To Create A Coherent Offer
1) Identify Your Current Expertise
As I'm writing this, I'm running my first boot camp ever.
It's been 2 weeks and 5 people joined.
I faced an interesting challenge at the beginning:
How can I give the most clarity to the guys inside?
The best way to get clarity for all 5 guys inside was by creating a detailed document of their current situation:
Their story
Their why
Their resources (time, income, tools)
Their knowledge and skills
Their vision and goal
Recognizing your situation gives you almost the first answer to creating a coherent offer.
Why? Because your current situation is the representation of what you can deliver.
If you lack skills or knowledge, you develop those first.
If you already have a decent skill or knowledge within a specific area, then you just need a unique angle and an approach that makes sense to who you are.
2) Identify A Problem
If we want to provide value, we must become really good at observing what are the common problems people face.
These are the 3 big markets all the gurus talk about:
Health
Wealth
Relationships
Knowing the problem that you want to solve gives you clarity with the content and future resources that you're going to create.
The goal here is to identify a problem that's already on demand.
We don't want to focus on a light problem people ignore.
We want to focus on a problem that causes so much pain that it needs to be solved.
3) Identify Existing Solutions
There are other people trying to solve the same problem as you.
What you want to do, is take a look at what other people are doing:
How they deliver a solution
Why did they provide that solution
Why some fail and some others succeed
Collect data. Observe others within your field.
This will give you hints on what unique things you can add to your offer.
And that takes me to the next step.
4) Create Your Unique Angle & Solution
This is the step that makes you unique.
Why? Because there will be a lot of similar solutions to yours.
But, there's only one YOU.
Here's also where you want to be coherent and offer something you can deliver.
Don't worry if it only solves a small part of the problem.
You will gradually grow.
Just make sure to leverage Personalization.
Personalization is the biggest advantage beginner people have over experts.
Clients love this because it is the thing that ensures the best results - if both parts are aligned of course.
Let's say that you're developing the skill of video editing.
You can have a simple video editing service.
You can do edits - just like another video editor - and earn a living.
Or, you can offer edits as the main thing, but you:
Jump on calls with the client regularly
Create a unique editing style for them
Give them content ideas
Do reports for them at the end of the month
By doing this you can ensure better results, and a lower likelihood of getting replaced, because clients see your commitment.
For the first clients, you charge only for the edits but do all the other stuff for free.
Once you get results, you start to get proof of your offer and scale to a higher price.
Eventually, you can outsource some work and handle a team.
Welcome to the agency world at that point.
5) Define A Strong Why For Your Offer
Most people do it for money, we do it for something bigger than ourselves.
Build your brand. Show your values. Share your why.
People in general will follow your work 10 more when they know you're in it for the long term and to create a positive impact.
It's how the smart ones recognize smart ones.
Aim to communicate the reason why you do what you do.
Develop the skill of communicating to people your perspectives and how your offer is not just another option.
It is the solution that comes after trying several options.
Develop yourself to that point and you won't struggle to sell your offer.
