Why I "quit" video editing
I’m 24 now.
2 weeks ago I felt really confused.
Things were going well, but I faced a hard decision:
I needed to decide whether or not I wanted to continue doing Video Editing.
Why was that a hard decision?
Well, I’ve been growing an audience that wants to learn video editing from me.
Why would I switch things over all of a sudden?
I think Video Editing is an amazing skill.
It’s a really good skill to get started.
But every time I was editing, something felt off.
I saw all these great editors online and thought:
Do I want to become like these top editors?
Do I see myself doing this in the next 5 years?
Is this the reason why I started an online business?
The answer is… No.
Video Editing has taught me a lot of things.
It’s also the thing that allowed me to make my first $10k online.
But it was time to move on.
Video editing wasn’t the reason why I got started…
I started an online business for something else.
I realized that I was doing video editing not because it was my passion…
But because it was the thing that brought me results!
How can I quit the thing that’s bringing me results?
Well, I realized another thing...
Even though Video Editing got me results, it wasn’t about the skill itself.
The thing that got me the results was the system I followed to monetize the skill.
This is so important to understand.
Because now I have 2 options:
Should I continue teaching video editing? (The skill)
Or should I teach how I was able to monetize it? (The system)
Even though I could teach the skill, I have more passion for teaching the system!
Because this system can work for anyone, just like it did for me.
This is so crucial that I had to break it down into steps.
Not just normal steps, but crystal clear steps.
The type of steps I would have given the 21yo version of myself.
I call it The Online Ecosystem.
However, once I organized this system into actionable steps, I faced a challenge:
I wanted to show & test that this system can work for anyone.
That’s why - by the time I’m writing - I decided to launch my first Boot Camp ever.
5 people got inside.
It’s been a week & the guys are loving it.
I feel more connected than ever.
It’s definitely a challenge.
These guys are all in different situations, knowledge stages, and skills.
We are creating strong offers, unique angles, strong whys, deep stories…
And it’s so cool to see how the Online Ecosystem model starts to fit everyone’s unique situation.
We are going deep into how anyone can create a personal brand & ecosystem that builds real connections with people.
I’m testing so many things with this small crew.
And they’re really grateful.
They also feel a bit overwhelmed haha.
But that’s how momentum & speed are built.
This foundation takes some extra effort to build at first.
But once it’s solid, it starts attracting exponential results.
There’s going to be some dope content coming in the future guys.
I’m excited about how things are unfolding.
Thanks for being part of this journey.
You’re going to win with us as well.
Be sure of that.
