The Greatest High-Income Skill To Learn As A Human
(Become Someone Worth Following)
There is a skill that's available to all of us.
And if you learn it, you don't have to worry about money again.
Most people in the world lack this skill and this is why most aren't living life at their fullest potential.
I'm sure you've seen a similar title about "the best skill" on other content before, but this skill is not about:
Speaking
Writing
Sales
Marketing
Dan Koe (one of the mentors I follow) says that the greatest skill is Persuasive Communication, and I 50% agree…
Dan is a big name, so why wouldn't I agree 100% with his statement?
Well, while persuasion is a really good skill you can learn, you can't rely on persuasion only.
Persuasion is great, but only if you have worked on something that is worth being persuasive of.
By the way, having something worth being persuasive of doesn't take years.
In fact, you can work on it in a matter of months if you apply the right speed and momentum.
And the way we build this is by training our creative muscle.
It's between the ability to merge your creativity and persuasion where this greatest skill relies.
The Law Of Information Flow
Creativity is not only about art but also about shaping your own reality as an individual.
Most people don't create, they don't express their potential, and this causes unfulfillment.
This is why most people:
Live an average life
Can't acquire good wealth
Don't achieve the results they want
But life doesn't have to be this way.
When you are a creative individual, you are contributing to the universal law of information flow.
This law stands that the people who contribute to the Universe by sharing their insights with others will have aan bundance of:
Money
Relationships
Opportunities
The best part is that anyone can make use of this law (no matter their situation).
But, it's not enough to just share insights.
We also need to be smart on how we share insights (the strength of our creative muscle), and at how much scale we do it (by leveraging persuasion).
Good content is about telling yourself what to do and actually doing it (otherwise it’ll be incongruent)
Your progress is more valuable than you think.
If you're not making progress towards improving yourself daily, why would other people follow or buy from you?
On the other hand, if you are improving as a person every day, you are already qualifying for the first step to use the information flow law and start training your creative muscle.
Working on your:
Skills
Knowledge
Body
Mind
It all counts.
Yes, you're not an expert yet, but you're improving daily - and that's the important thing.
You don't want to worry about persuasion yet, you just need to leverage your daily progress to generate proof.
To leverage this daily progress:
You learn new information and execute on it.
You therefore get new perspectives and insights.
You contribute to the Universe by passing down those perspectives to others.
In the modern world, we leverage the Internet to share these perspectives at scale.
If your perspectives are helping other people, you get proof of concept.
In fact, you have an advantage over most experts: people don't see you as someone who's far ahead of them…
They see you as someone who they can relate and connect with.
Therefore, you become a small authority that your audience can look up to.
What Should You Create?
As mentioned before, when you're improving daily, you are getting new insights.
But, what type of insights do we get when we make daily progress?
Here are some examples:
A course completed gives you insights
Helping someone for free gives you insights
Testing a fitness routine for 60 days gives you insights
Editing 100 reels gives you insights
These insights can take the form of systems, resources, knowledge, and more.
I can't really tell you how you should create things, you are the one who needs to figure it out.
That's how you train your creative muscle.
Getting good at creating things is such an amazing skill because this is how you always have value to provide (if the things you create are helpful).
By leveraging the internet, we can share these insights in form of:
Content
Free guides, summaries, frameworks
Products, services
Coaching, consulting
You want to create things that work for you.
But people aren't going to "buy" your insights right away.
They need to perceive value from you.
And here's where most beginner creators fail - because they don't understand value exchange.
Understanding Value Exchange
Most creators should focus on getting 1,000 people excited about their free insights before they charge for anything.
Most people are not beginners in life, but they are beginners in the online world.
To make people follow you, you need to work on the perceived value people have of you.
Giving and receiving, that’s how value is created.
If you're a beginner in the online world, you increase your perceived value by:
Showing commitment and conviction
Communicating your beliefs (the Why behind your actions)
The authenticity that comes from building in public
Creating your own stuff (guides, systems, summaries)
Showing how you get good. Every. Single. Day.
If you're intermediate or advanced, what are you waiting for to start sharing your insights on the Internet?
Think about it, doing all the things above is way more difficult than just changing your bio & saying you're an expert.
Anyone can do that.
The real challenge is to work on your perceived value every day (whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced).
Progress Monetization
After providing enough value to the point that a small audience is excited about your teachings, you can think about monetization.
If you want to monetize your progress, there are different options that we can consider:
Creating low-ticket digital products (subscriptions, courses, assets)
Creating medium-ticket offers (1:1 calls, cohorts)
Having a high-ticket offer (services, 1:1 programs)
You want to be smart about which things you can deliver at best.
You can combine all of them as long as the offers relate to each other.
But if you, for example, are getting started on video editing, you can consider the following path:
Learning and practicing daily
Choosing a platform like X or Instagram to build in public
Explain how you plan to achieve "X" result
Use those platforms to show your personality and values
Show how you get better every day
Create a simple editing service
Interact with the people interested in your service
Create mini-tutorials or systems you use to get better
Monetize with a low-ticket digital product.
Help your audience for free and 1:1 (paid)
In my case, I followed those steps by accident and ended up making my first $16k online in 2024.
If you want guidance on how you can do the same, feel free to book a 1:1 call with me.
I explained how to do it with video editing, but this can be done with anything.
Persuasive Communication
Now we are talking.
After doing all this heavy work of improving yourself, growing an organic audience, learning to create resources, getting some results…
You can go ahead and start implementing persuasive communication on why people should think like you.
Persuasion helps you make other people become interested in the things you’re interested in (and showing how those interests can help them).
Why can't we use persuasion from the start?
You can, but it won't have much impact.
Because if you know about persuasion, you know that it needs proof.
If you are a complete beginner and have no proof, good luck with persuasion.
But if you have worked on something worth being persuasive of - all the things we talked about in this letter - then you will have proof and persuasion can work well.
Thaaaat's it for this one.
Wao, I really enjoyed writing this letter (now I can go and take a break in the nature with some friends).
Love you guys,
Pablo.
